National Apprenticeship Week 2017
Latest Posts
Today is the start of National Apprenticeship Week, a week that aims to bring together employers and apprentices from across the UK to celebrate the success of apprenticeships, as well as encourage even more young people to choose an apprenticeship as a fast-track to a great career.
All of the members within the Worcestershire Education Network have a vested interest in the Worcestershire community and the children within that community, which is why we are keen to promote and raise awareness around this week.
With many of our members being parents and school governors with children in Worcestershire schools, they often support the local community and children through ‘added value’ services, such as work experience placements and apprenticeship placements.
This year’s NAW is particularly special, as it will see schools, colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers from across the UK celebrating the 10th anniversary of this awareness week and doing their bit to promote this viable alternative to further education.
We would love to know what your school is getting up to this week, to provide your students with detailed information surrounding apprenticeships and to highlight the various careers options that are available to them.
If your school is struggling for ideas on how you can promote apprenticeships this week, there are a range of guides and resources available here.
