The Bewdley School have recently opened a new Cafe for their Sixth Form students, with the help of Witley Jones Furniture.
After identifying that the existing space wasn’t working for their students, the school decided to transform the space into a Cafe, with the focus to create a practical environment that was the perfect balance of comfort and practicality. This is when they enlisted the help of Witley Jones.
Following a discussion around the school’s requirements, Simon Downes, Managing Director at Witley Jones was able to share a number of tailored ideas with the school for furniture for the space and a final idea was decided upon.
It was essential that the furniture created for this space fitted seamlessly into the environment and Witley Jones were able to achieve this.
The furniture they created included bespoke dining tables, chairs, seating and modular soft furnishings, with a design that enhanced the “coffee house” look and feel of the Cafe.
A unique part of the project also saw Witley Jones re-use the frame from the school’s existing dining tables, to help the school reduce waste and in turn, reduce their spend.
The new Cafe looks stunning and it is great to see how Witley Jones have helped to transform this space into one that students can enjoy, relax and study in.
The school were delighted with the end result, commenting:
“We found Witley Jones to have a friendly and flexible approach from start to finish. With regular and clear communication, we were involved and updated at each stage to discuss ideas and changes. This has been a really positive experience working with Simon and the Witley Jones team.” Catherine McDougall, Deputy Headteacher
