Worcestershire Education Network are delighted to announce Wooden Spoon Worcestershire as our Charity for the Year for 2020.
The children’s charity for rugby, Wooden Spoon fund life-changing projects that support children and young people with disabilities or living in disadvantage.
How were we introduced to the charity?
WEN Director, Mike Wilson was introduced to the charity through their monthly networking meetings and has been a member of Wooden Spoon for a number of years, supporting the charity of a personal level.
Why Wooden Spoon?
In light of their objectives to positively transform the lives of children through the power of rugby, mainly via local school projects, it was the perfect fit for Wooden Spoon Worcestershire to be chosen as the WEN’s Charity of the Year.
The volunteers of Wooden Spoon Worcestershire work tirelessly to fundraise and support projects and causes in the local community and to date have funded over £360,000!
Our members are very excited to be supporting this amazing local charity throughout 2020, helping them to continue the great work they do in supporting and transforming children’s lives.
